Scientists aren't inventions[edit]

There's a list of scientists embedded here, and few of them are associated with a specific invention. Does anyone fancy splitting this to a List of Filipino scientists? Is that impossibly POV? Are there any similar lists for other nationalities? I don't think it belongs in this article, but I'm not seeking to arbitrarily delete it. Andy Dingley (talk) 10:35, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Filipino Abilities[edit]

This article is an Mind opener to The Filipinos like Other nationalities A true Craftsmanship's and Skills We can invent and The real facts ! but this article needs a little improvement and add more latest accounts of inventions Some I saw a Statements of some Anti Pinoy's here that we are no great contributions ,,,

In the intro it says a Filipino invention includes people "descended from the Philippines". One cannot be descended from a country.

idiocity of who wrote that statement!

  • Decended he\she can be decended if the person is a HALF BLOOD ! Foreigners w Filipino decent like Megan Young for example!
  • Pottery has been a Wide Technology in the Early Philippines and it have been proven ! i think this Anti-pinoy User does not know the Philippine History!

You also cannot "discover" a "food technique". What does that even mean?

  • Food techniques are in Grey are Because like my favorite chicken Adobo (which is a Techniques of Preseving meats since there are no Refrigirator in ancient past has been method done by the Filipinos before spaniards come ! it means its discoveries! it is like also how Russians made a Baked milk.

And another food tehniques..

Barong Tagalog. You cannot "invent" a shirt. Besides this, it is from Mexico.

  • the good example For this is The Kimono of Japanese People has a Method invented in 1192 - 1573! The Barong tagalog is designed by the Tagalog people during the pre-modern era!
  • Language can be done by natural phenomenon like Baybayin might, but theirs no clear origin neither it derived from other Bhramic origins but its does not clear, i= dont think its like a mushroom that existed alone ! there must be a briliant Filipino who made this like Hangul of Korea made by King Sejong .

Tagalog language i agree its a natural phenomenon..

  • The karaoke might be improved by Daisuke Inuioe but they never made a good version without the Original Pioneer machine made by

Roberto Del Rosario , Its like Java which comes from c++ but these two comes to C language.

  • The Yoyo might have in greece but their purpose is only for toy! in philippines it used as a fashone weapon/tools for hunting! i convince if its a Tops, which is from romans and greece..
  • About Mathematic's maybee this area are complicated but it can be count on contributions like the Japanese Mathematics!
  • Modular housing system is idea by Edgardo Vasquez in response to the rapid urbanization and poor construction which left many Filipinos homeless in the city but he didn't mentioned becaused of the Powerful Nationalities influence!

Games are not a "discovery" nor an "invention". Neither are sports.

  • Games can be invented like the Yut which invented by Koreans i dont think its like mushroom existed it self alone as i told !

The Philippines is a country. You cannot be decended from a country as it has no sexual organs. Among other ::things.
Someone with half blood will likely die. I do not understand what you are trying to say here.
As for all the other so-called "Filipino inventions"? We have already established that these were either invented by non-Filipinos, or that they are not inventions at all.
It is not I that is "anti Pinoy" as you say. I am trying to promote the contributions of the Filipino people by accurate knowledge. Making up stories and trolling wikipedia is only attacking Filipinos. Presidentbalut (talk) 17:59, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why "born in the Philippines"?[edit]

Why would something partially created or invented by someone born in the Philippines make that thing a "Filipino invention"? Being born in the Philippines does not make one a Filipino. So why would a project they work on magically become "Filipino", if even the person working on it is not Filipino nor in the Philippines? Presidentbalut (talk) 13:07, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There have been some improvements[edit]

I just wanted to say that, despite the arguments that "Filipinos invented everything in the world and it was stolen by foreigners", I am pleased to see some improvements to the accuracy of this article. I have made a few. Others have done more. There still needs to be more work done, but I am glad it is finally going in the right direction. Presidentbalut (talk) 00:14, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Inventions, discoveries, and innovations?[edit]

Some of the entries are really innovations and not inventions, instead making improvements on already existing inventions. Like the guns and rifles. Should wer really list all models made by Floro and other innovative versions of already existing products made by Philippine companies. By that logic, Chickenjoy of Jollibee will be included here since they "invented" the recipe, an exhaustive list of Philippine cuisine, every Filipino-developed app (project NOAH, and the Diwata-1 microsatellite. A separate page of List of Filipino innovations may be created to remedy this where every entry should be backed by reliable, preferably scholarly sources (books, academic studies). One famous example is Fe del Mundo who is erroneously said to have "invented" the incubator, but she innovated the incubator and created one that is made of bamboo for rural areas and is widely cited for her work.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 11:36, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This article are vulnerable to WP:Trolling , So it deserves to be given a Protection so these Racist , anti filipino Trolls might shut i seen that theirs no bad thing on the article trolls here aren't helping to improve this but just making some "stupid acts" just to hijack information by distorting and vandalizing.(JournalmanManila (talk) 09:52, 15 November 2016 (UTC))[reply]
