A clue for the clueless[edit]

Not everyone who scores an aerial victory is an ace. By definition, a flying ace has to have shot down at least five enemy aircraft in air to air combat.Georgejdorner (talk) 05:15, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No flying aces in EAF[edit]

A couple of years ago, I was going to translate this list into Arabic, but for some reasons I forgot the whole thing, recently I thought about it again, but this time after I did some basic research I found there is no a single pilot in Egyptian Air Force, credited with five confirmed kills, i.e there is no a single flying ace in EAF, thus this list is pointless, gave no accurate information. I checked the sources, which mostly depend on ACIG, this site is closed since 2017, when I asked Tom Cooper (you may know him) about the reason, he told me that because of many false information related to aerial kills they had to stop the site and he confirmed to me recently that there's no an Egyptian pilot with more than three kills. So if you want to prove your list, that there's an Egyptian pilot with five aerial kills, please add dates of his aerial combat and names of opponents who were shot down. I know only one pilot, Samir Aziz, with three confirmed kills with names of pilots who shot their aircrafts and dates of his aerial victories, the last one you add, El Mansoury is credited with only one aerial kill and it's not confirmed.--Amr F.Nagy (talk) 17:51, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
