Missing failed pitches[edit]

I hope you are enjoying the recent addition of failed pitches on Dragons Den UK. My aim was to list every pitch the show had featured, however I was defeated in being unable to obtain any recordings of Series 8 Episode 9 and Series 12 Episodes 7 and 9, allowing me to review the 'short/mini' pitches. Approximately 6 pitches are possibly missing from Series 8 Episode 9 and 2 between Series 12 Episode 7 and 9.

If anyone has access to these episodes please do add them, as well as any company information/websites listed as N/A, which I was also unable to find.

Thank you. ToonIsALoon (talk) 18:11, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@ToonIsALoon: It's good that this information has been added to Wikipedia, but this has made an already very large article much larger. I'm reducing some of the formatting and removing the external links (policy such as WP:ELLIST), and we'll be able to see better how the article may be split. Split into multiple articles[edit]

Due to the WP:PEIS limit, not all of the references appear. Currently they stop at number 1350. Since the article is currently enormous I think the best way to resolve this is by simply splitting it, either by date or into the successful, rejected and failed sections. I support. Preferably by the latter though the last section (failed pitches) could probably be split into multiple articles. Blubabluba9990 (talk) (contribs) 21:55, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'd support this, maybe the first ten seasons then another page for the latter? ToonIsALoon (talk) 17:55, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
My preference is splitting the article into three, chronologically. Combining 1-7, 8-14 and 15-19 would seem to me as the best way to do so. Onetwothreeip (talk) 00:33, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with the idea of three, but only when Series 21 airs in supposedly 2024. 2 articles right now supporting 10 seasons a page should be plenty for references to show up without template refs etc even after Series 20 has aired. Will probably also allow us to re-add the websites column. ToonIsALoon (talk) 03:47, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
2 articles now exist. Will divide into three when series 21 airs.ToonIsALoon (talk) 21:26, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

citation nonsense[edit]

Citations 1351 - 1703 appear to be completely redundant and utterly useless. Through this section of links, they all seem to be nothing but templates. If there are no objectiosn to this, then I'll do a little cleanup back there. - MountainKemono (talk) 09:53, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@MountainKemono: They shouldn't be removed. They're only broken due to the WP:PEIS limit: there is a limit to how many templates you can put on a page before they fail and this page hits the limit around 1350. If you edit any of the later sections individually you will see they look OK in the preview, just not on the whole page. The correct solution is to split the page into more manageable sections. Oh dear, my apologies for being harsh with the edit button. Many thanks for the clarification! - MountainKemono (talk) 09:35, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
