Individual Episode Pages[edit]

There is no need to wikify the individual episodes of Camp Lazlo on this page. In fact, it defeats the purpose of collecting episodes onto a single page in the first place. Though if you so desire, please feel free to take whatever information is contained in the individual episode pages and put them with their respective episodes on this page, instead. -- Dwhyer 03:31, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If they aren't linked to from here they will probably become orphaned, as is the case with the one I added, Beans Are From Mars. There's more info there than it would make sense to merge into this article. --W.marsh 18:09, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Beans Are From Mars page is only 10% episode description and 90% "quotes and goofs"; I agree that one or two quotes and some trivia make an episode guide more interesting, but that page just has too much irrelevant and unnecessary information to warrant linking from here. Dwhyer 20:36, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Episode 4 was aired before any other one in Norway. 62.97.162.237 12:40, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have started to clean up this particluar article, by both merging in relevant plot information, and by removing redundant information from individual episode articles. Once the plot summary is here, there isn't much in terms of substance left frankly, so the logical course of action is to redirect them here. Radagast83 22:39, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with Season 2[edit]

I propose we merge the episode lists of Seasons 1 and 2 of the series. NoseNuggets 4:37 AM US EDT June 21 2006

Can I make an episode list for season three because there are already episodes that are going to premiere on Cartoon Network. Squirepants101 20:41, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've merged all the episode lists. Better to have it this way. Squirepants101 22:34, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've also reformatted it. Squirepants101 20:41, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that I've might have made some mistakes when reformatting (mainly airdates). If you see a mistake, fix it to the correct airdate. Squirepants101 23:37, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Better Merged Together[edit]

I've seen listings of other episode lists from other shows all on one page. To me, that set-up is much better, because then you can access every episode on the same page, rather than clicking from page to page to find the episode you want. It also seems more orderly and organized to have them collected all together. Black Kat 12:13, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Well to me that's a horrible idea. If it was a different page then there can be a section for trivia or goofs. 2/25/07-Driveus
According to WP:TRIV (one of the Wikipedia guidelines), you should avoid adding trivia onto articles. Squirepants101 23:52, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oh, well then we can still link it to videos on Youtube or Google Video, maybe. Also if you should avoid trivia then why is there a trivia section on every Spongebob episode article.Driveus 20:07, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you did that, that would be considered a form of copyright infringement. From Wikipedia:Copyrights: If you know that an external Web site is carrying a work in violation of the creator's copyright, do not link to that copy of the work. Knowingly and intentionally directing others to a site that violates copyright has been considered a form of contributory infringement in the United States (Intellectual Reserve v. Utah Lighthouse Ministry). Linking to a page that illegally distributes someone else's work sheds a bad light on Wikipedia and its editors. According to Wikipedia:WikiProject SpongeBob SquarePants#Objectives, trivia should be incorperated into the articles. Copied from WP:TRIV: Lists of trivia can be useful when developing a new article as it sets a low bar for novice contributors to add information without having to keep in mind article organization or presentation - just tack a new fact on to the list. However, as articles grow, these lists become increasingly disorganized and difficult to read. It is ideal to provide a logical grouping and ordering of facts that gives an integrated presentation providing context and smooth transitions. If articles have large trivia sections, they can be tagged with {{toomuchtrivia}}. Squirepants101 23:41, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weel that still doesn't explain why Spongebob has a trivia section. And please stay cool.Driveus 21:51, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Driveus, I am staying cool and I am also being civil. Squirepants101 23:44, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oh, thanks. Sorry if I drove you mad.

Cleanup[edit]

I've marked this section for cleanup because of the brutal formatting- this is very difficult to read. --Wafulz 06:04, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Since I changed the format, there's these part of the format that says images. I think we need to upload screenshots of the episodes and put them in there. Squirepants101 20:35, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

we need to get better pictures for it. some have the the charecters back showing and others you can't tell what episode it is!

Automated peer review[edit]

The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and may or may not be accurate for the article in question.

  • Please expand the lead to conform with guidelines at WP:LEAD. The article should have an appropriate number of paragraphs as is shown on WP:LEAD, and should adequately summarize the article.[1]
  • Consider adding more links to the article; per WP:MOS-L and WP:BTW, create links to relevant articles.
  • Per WP:CONTEXT and WP:MOSDATE, months and days of the week generally should not be linked. Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article.
  • Per WP:MOS, avoid using words/phrases that indicate time periods relative to the current day. For example, soon

might be terms that should be replaced with specific dates/times.[2]
  • This article has no images. Please see if there are any free use images that fall under WP:IUP and WP:IT that can be uploaded. To upload images on Wikipedia, go to Special:Upload; to upload non-fair use images on the Wikimedia Commons, go to commons:special:upload.[3]
  • See if possible if there is a free use image that can go on the top right corner of this article.[4]
  • Per WP:MOSNUM, there should be a non-breaking space -   between a number and the unit of measurement. For example, instead of 18mm, use 18 mm, which when you are editing the page, should look like: 18 mm.[5]
  • There are a few occurrences of weasel words in this article- please observe WP:AWT. Certain phrases should specify exactly who supports, considers, believes, etc., such a view. For example,
    • apparently

    • might be weasel words, and should be provided with proper citations (if they already do, or are not weasel terms, please strike this comment).[6]
  • Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
    • Vague terms of size often are unnecessary and redundant - “some”, “a variety/number/majority of”, “several”, “a few”, “many”, “any”, and “all”. For example, “All pigs are pink, so we thought of a number of ways to turn them green.”
  • This article needs footnotes, preferably in the cite.php format recommended by WP:WIAFA. Simply, enclose inline citations, with WP:CITE or WP:CITE/ES information, with <ref>THE FOOTNOTE</ref>. At the bottom of the article, in a section named “References” or “Footnotes”, add <div class="references-small"><references/></div>.[7]
  • Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.

NOT CANCELED[edit]

  • For one thing, Camp Lazlo is too vital to Cartoon Network itself to be canceled. And, it said that KAZ was leaving the show, the show wasn't exactly being canceled. READ UP ON YOUR RESEARCH!!! Art1991 02:00, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IT HAS BEEN CANCELED :(!!!

It has been canceled however it aired for 1 hour in June 2011 for a special but has not aired for 5 to 7 years nor will it air in the any time soon! -clkowalski-~6~11~2011~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.241.10.115 (talk) 02:33, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

News flash, guys. They started to rerun it again along with Chowder on January 2, 2012. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MattBoo (talkcontribs) 21:08, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removed 'unreferenced' tag[edit]

I removed the 'unreferenced' tag at the bottom of this page. The episodes are the canon, and there's not a lot of references you can make outside the show's universe to confirm/validate the episodes. I did also compare to several other shows and see what they do; for example, Fosters and Zim both do not provide external references in the episode guide. I did add an external like to animation insider, which lists season 1, but I couldn't find much other than that.

episode synopses[edit]

This article should be brought up to guidelines as detailed WP:EPISODE; right now, the synopses are essays, rather than summaries. Look at show 44-46, those are good summaries. Since each episode is 10-11 minutes long, it really doesn't take much to give an overview of the episode. Yngvarr 00:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No arguments or disagreements, so don't be surprised if I act WP:BOLD Yngvarr 12:03, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Go ahead. Your past edits have been sensible and constructive, and you've done a lot to keep this and other articles clear of vandalism. Lucky number 49 16:33, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, didn't notice this and totally agree with the synopses being shortened. Being bold is the difference between a bad editor and one with a Good Noodle barnstar which may or may not exist. --treelo talk 18:22, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I made some "test" edits. I call them "tests", cause I'm still not sure how they sit with me. Basically, I started on season 4, and prefixed each episode with a numbered bullet (# tag). The earlier seasons prefix each episode with bolded text of the episode name, and I'm just not sure which looks better... feel free to you-know-what! Yngvarr 21:47, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good so far. I corrected a minor spelling error your introduced, but that's all. Lucky number 49 21:54, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Invaded episode[edit]

I've moved the Invaded episode under "Movies / Specials". This isn't a part of season 4, even tho it aired during season 4 (just like the Where's Lazlo movie aired during season 3). It was a special event that occurred along with three other shows at the time, and its mention should stand alone. I've renumbered things to keep consistency. Yngvarr 17:18, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would class it as a special but it's been played outside the Invaded season with the usual titles and credit sequences so I have my doubts over if it is special or not given it has the same run length as a normal episode and can play out separate from Invaded without seeming out of place. Don't know about any of the other series and how the replayed eps are dealt with but it depends on what other lists have done, standing as something of a consensus. --treelo talk 12:07, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is an official episode, since the 61 episode amount must be met.--UBracter (talk) 14:39, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Individual Episode Pages?[edit]

Shouldn't each of Camp Lazlo's episode have their own episode page, along with the list of episodes? Other TV Shows do this, these include: SpongeBob SquarePants, Drake & Josh, Friends, The Simpsons, The West Wing, Lost, South Park, X-Men, and Seinfield. Cartoon Network Shows also do this, these include: Courage The Cowardly Dog, Cow and Chicken, and Class of 3000. --Noahcs 02:01, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would tend to disagree, since these are 11 minute episodes, where most of your examples are 22 minute (or longer) episodes. Wikipedia:Television episodes recommends no more than 10 words per screen-time, that would make approx 100 words, which is really not a lot. Yngvarr 09:09, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pointing out the Wikipedia:Television episodes article, I didn't read this until you showed me. I now have a different view on these types of things. Thanks. --Noahcs 23:05, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect information, fan fiction, what is it?[edit]

  • "this will not be the last season" - cite your source, otherwise this will be deleted. As far as I know, the last bit of official information stated 9 episodes for season five [1]. Unless you work on the show, or have other inside information, there's nothing else to go by, and your opinion is just that: opinion, speculation and high-hopes.
  • 2008? 2009? - sorry, WP:CRYSTAL explicitly states that future events should not be included in articles. That is policy, not a guideline. If there are a total of 9 episodes to finish the series, it surely won't last until 2009, and may not even last until 2008. Regardless of that, it airs in 2007, and that is all we know.
  • for all I know, the episodes airing this week is the last of season 4 episodes. It doesn't make sense for CN to end S4, and then air two S5 episodes with no followup episodes. It does make sense for them to end S4 this week, and leave new episodes for a later schedule.

Yngvarr 01:13, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, for the second time in two weeks, this article is under semi-protection, in the hopes that the editors in question will at least open discussion for their reasonings, which I've hopefully clearly detailed immediately above. Yngvarr 01:12, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template Cleanup[edit]

I think the {{Camp Lazlo}} template needs to majorly updated. It just seems too simple. I've worked up something a little more complex here. What do you think? --  Noah¢s  Talk / Contribs 21:27, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Creepy Crawly Campy: Elebug Imago[edit]

Elebug grown up sounds like Godzilla and look like Battra.....weird.

I don't like the format[edit]

I hate the format of the tables for this article./--CyclePat (talk) 03:37, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the article is built around using template:Episode list, which generally works best in a table format. If you've any ideas/suggestions, feel free to try them out or mention them. I'm not really sure what can be done, tho, but that's just me. Yngvarr 10:12, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe if there was a breakline (blank line) added just before or after every episode's table? --CyclePat (talk) 17:41, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I like IMDB's format. They don't use tables (see Imdb Camp Lazlo episodes or see star trek episodes) Furthermore, I remember reading a recommendation on formating tables on Wikipedia and it is recommended to try and avoid them so people can easilly get into adding content. So, in the extreme, I would recomend getting rid of the table or having what could be considered a type of content fork (WP:CFORK) but not really (more of a different way of seeing things and ordering the information). --CyclePat (talk) 17:49, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
From what I can see, it's a good suggestion that should be considered but doesn't really seem that easily scanned for me but people are going to differ on it. The layout issue we could assess but it wouldn't be in the wiki style which for reasons unknown uses tables a great deal and would be needing wikification eventually if we decided to use it on this list. You'll need to explain your content fork idea as I'm not understanding it at all! I'd say to take this up with the guys who handle the templating and suggest it to them and see if it can be an alternate to the table layout. --treelo talk 18:31, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think I'd agree with treelo, that if it was not in a table format, it wouldn't be easily scanned. If anything, why not try out some of your ideas? The season 5 list does not contain many episodes, and it would not be too time-consuming to convert and see how it stands. Not sure I follow on the content fork, either. Yngvarr 19:11, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi guys, the content fork was a bad example. Sorry. What I meant to say; We can have both formats. We could keep the table and we could have a plain text version (or that is a regular Wikipedia style version without tables or boxes) That means we would have 2 articles with all the same information but simply formated in a different fashion which is or may not (depending on the learning ability of the individual) be more practical. (A subjective quantifier) One problem with this is to ensure that they both remain similar and contain the same information... or that is, as I alluded with my previous response, do not become some sort of bad content fork.) ;) --CyclePat (talk) 06:48, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So, a duplication of information but in a different layout, yes? Try it out on the Season 5 entries as Yngvarr said so we can see it, wouldn't think it'd survive very long as a separate article given that you are duplicating information somewhat pointlessly. If it's an accessibility issue, I think there's already something in place for screen readers and other devices. --treelo talk 12:30, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Episode?[edit]

It says down at the bottom of the Season 5 table that there is going to be a new episode titled "Bad Luck Be a Camper Tonight/Step Clam". But hasn't the been show canceled?--74.192.167.71 (talk) 03:12, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The show is canceled but there were a few outstanding episodes that were produced and delivered, but not aired. There are 57 episodes listed on the epilist, and Murray says that 61 were produced, so if the numbers listed here are correct, there's about four episodes remaining to air, and it looks like they'll air at least one of them next week. Also, CN is airing their new Thursday lineup bumper, where they say new Lazlo, Chowder and Fosters episodes, and TVGuide.com is listing some information. Yngvarr (c) 09:40, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Since "Where's Lazlo" hasn't been counted as two episodes until now, the list has been 2 episodes short. This has now been changed.--UBracter (talk) 14:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Episode 55[edit]

How come under season 5, it goes from episode 54 to 56? I don't know if it's a typo, or what, because once when fixing the table I accidentally changed it, and then it got changed back. Have they just not aired episode 55?

Oog. Flashbacks to the SpongeBob episodes article. --Alice2 (talk) 14:54, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's probably the Christmas episode. Yngvarr (c) 15:09, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, no probably about it, it's listed under the Specials section. I have no idea why it was ordered like that here, I think I previously reordered the episodes as per episode numbers and air dates, but was reverted. Feel free to put things in chronological order. Yngvarr (c) 15:13, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But now reviewing the episodes, there is a missing episode. There are 59 numbered episodes, and "Where's Lazlo" (listed as M1) for a total of 60 episodes. Murray himself says 61 were produced... Yngvarr (c) 11:23, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Where's Lazlo" is a double length episode, so it can be counted as two episodes. Bringing it up to the 61 episodes Joe said. Edited the page with this info.--UBracter (talk) 14:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is the "Final Episode Information" really necessary?[edit]

It doesn't seem useful, especially not on an episode list. It's just sort of a pointless spoiler for those who haven't seen the episode, and it doesn't add much to the article anyway. --Alice2 (talk) 00:54, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's tied to real-world information, which is always a good thing. I think it adds, not detracts. Yngvarr (c) 00:56, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page Fix[edit]

I did the table fix, Colors were messed up... Also fixed some error with * Speeda psx (talk) 15:06, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Storyboard Directors[edit]

Camp Lazlo (like the earliest seasons of spongebob) used a system where two people boarded an episode, with one of them being a "storyboard director" and being the main boarder for the episode. Yet the article only lists the subordinate "storyboard artist". If you notice, a majority of the episodes that have TBA for storyboard have only 1 (non-story) writer. So I'll be adding the board directors in the storyboard column. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zemblant (talkcontribs) 03:05, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
