Date on photograph[edit]

The photo is captioned "Lionel Matthews in March 1944". He looks remarkably well dressed and relaxed given that he had been in a POW camp for 18 months and had been tortured by the Japanese. The photo must have been taken the day he was executed, or the day before, unless the date is incorrect. Weka511 (talk) 01:37, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
