Roy[edit]

"Roy is clearly attracted to beautiful girls to the point of clouding his judgement" I wrote that before Roy resisted Sabine's attempt to seduce him. I feel I might have been overly strict on Roy. He might be about as interested in the opposite sex as you would expect from a man of his age.

Sabine[edit]

"superficially resembling Haley" Huh?! I fail to see any resemblance at all, superficial or not. To me they seem as different as two stick figures can be -different form and colour of hair, different skin, different eyes. Will however wrote that please explain how he or she is thinking. Sensemaker 10:53, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Later this anger at Nale was later revealed to not be of jealousy but rather that Nale was planning to kill Haley, which Sabine wanted to do herself." Yes this is what Sabine claims, however, I am not sure I'm buying Sabine's explanation. When talking to V Sabine's explanation of the situation [1] certainly sounds like jealousy at infidelity. She expressly states him groping her as the cause of her being upset. Earlier on the same page she explicitly calls him "two-timing lowlife". (It is hard to see how hogging the fun of killing Haley could be interpreted as "two-timing".) Furthermore, V explicitly interpret the situation as infidelity and gives advice based on this. Sabine takes his advice further confirming that V has understood the situation correctly. Claiming that she would never be upset by elicit sex and that she has had ridiculous amounts of it herself sounds to me like she is trying to avoid admitting that she was jealous. Some real people find it embarrassing to admit such a "weakness" and I can certainly imagine a chaotic evil person or fiend finding this embarrassing. Thus I am changing the text to "Later Sabine says that she wasn't jealous but rather angry at Nale trying to kill Haley, which she wanted to do herself. This may be true, but it may also be a refusal to admit that she is jealous." -Sensemaker

Zz'dtri: gender?[edit]

Do we actually know that Zz'dtri is male? The only evidence I can see for that is how he/she is addressed by others, which is pretty insufficient (Vaarsuvius is addressed as "the elf chick" and "V-man" regularly, but nobody takes this as anything other than the characters' own opinions). Just something that bears thinking about!

Nale refers to him by male pronoun. [2] -Sensemaker

Any idea which (if any) of these could have influenced the naming of Leeky Windstaff's hawk, Kitty? --80.175.250.218 16:21, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Length of Nale's, Thog's and Sabine's entries.[edit]

I believe that Nale, Thog and Sabine's entries in the article have gotten a bit too long, particularily Nale's and Sabine's. I suggest that they get either an article each, or that the three of them share an article, tentatively named "Recurrent Linear Guild characters". Do you think this is a good idea? Halfling Daniel 16:40, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be quite possible to simply have one section describing the history of the Guild as a whole, which could be made considerably shorter than the individual sections put together, simply by virtue of eliminating a lot of the unnecessary detail, then have short sections dealing with the individual personalities. Unless anyone has any massive objections, I'd be quite happy to give it a shot - we can always revert it if we don't like the results. --Tailkinker 16:45, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
At any rate, I estimate (at first reading) at least 40% of Nale's and 25% of Sabine's should be cut. — Wzboff (talk) 15:26, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Some of which I have now made. —Wzboff (talk) 16:16, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TL;DR[edit]

this whole article is too long and contyains too much fancruft —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.72.40.32 (talk) 16:24, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I fail to say where that Fancruft is. Could you point it out? So far most of the information has been revealed in the comic, and something may be in Start of Darkness. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.77.18.126 (talk) 15:39, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think we are free to ignore the message from the sock - they aren't signed in, this was the only time they posted with the sock, and it was months ago without any followup. Obviously 69.72.40.32 doesn't realize that this is a plot synopsis of the main antagonists for the entire comic, and just enjoys using the word "fancruft". Moving on... Sabine[edit]

Has Sabine been explicitly established as a fiend by Burlew, or is it being inferred by her various abilities? - Koweja (talk) 21:56, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As of yesterday, she's not only explicitly a fiend, she's been specifically identified as a succubus. 75.76.213.106 (talk) 03:29, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
