Before marriage[edit]

Before she was married to Erol Flyn, she had an affair with Louis Ferdinand von Preussen, who wanted to marry her but couldn't, because of his Grandfather's (the Kaiser) dissaproval. Reports of marriage to Michael Curtiz[edit]

According to film scholars, Damita was never actually married to Michael Curtiz. It is a modern urban legend. There is no contemporary evidence to support the assertion, and their obituaries do not mention their marriage. I am updating the text with sources to reflect. SixFourThree (talk)SixFourThree
