Elimination: "Martin was the most recent person executed in the state of Louisiana." Most recent execution: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/wire/sns-ap-us-louisiana-execution,0,6360936.story 194.25.101.166 (talk) 08:14, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I eliminated the "Murder Victim's Parents ‘Ecstatic' Over 1st La. Execution in 2 years," by Gwen Filosa, ‘’The Times-Picayune’’ (May 11, 2002). These are obsolete and cannot be used as external links or reference pages, but they're still here, though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.200.116.66 (talkcontribs) 01:17, May 28, 2006(UTC).

Except that was the article I used when I wrote the article. Anyway, it is on the http://www.clarkprosecutor.org/html/death/US/martin776.htm site for people to view. Nolamgm 16:07, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues[edit]

This article has several problems. The subject raped and murdered Christina Burgin, was arrested, tried and convicted, then was executed. The article does not cite any references but uses State v. Martin, 645 So. 2d 190 - La: Supreme Court 1994 that apparently was copy-pasted at least in large part.
A general reference states he was the:
  • 27th murderer executed in U.S. in 2002.
  • 776th murderer executed in U.S. since 1976.
  • 1st murderer executed in Louisiana in 2002.
  • 27th murderer executed in Louisiana since 1976.
Not only are there several issues with the article there is a clear lack of notability with the subject. --- Otr500 (talk) 18:03, 3 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
