World War II service[edit]

Although Barnum served in the United States Navy during the World War II era, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served overseas in a war zone during the war. Claim of First QB taken in NFL draft[edit]

The article currently claims "[Barnum] was the first and only quarterback selected in the inaugural NFL Draft in 1936."
