NFL Draft or AFL Draft?[edit]

In the infobox, should it be NFL Draft or AFL Draft? The Dolphins were in the AFL.65tosspowertrap 13:05, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User SugnuSicilianu has fixed the problem. It should be AFL draft. SoxrockProjects 14:34, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NFLretired template[edit]

There are numerous reasons why this is a poor choice.

1. There are already hundreds of pages that have as templates for retired players either "NFL player" or "Infobox Pro Football player". They would all have to be changed for retired players.

2. Like other "NFL" templates, this one INCORRECTLY states several items: There was NO NFL draft in 1967-1969, it was a Common Draft; AFL players were NOT in "Pro Bowls", they were in American Football League All-Star games. Playerslike Billy Shaw and Charley Hennigan]] were never in the NFL, so how can they be covered by an "NFL" template?

3. Further, a "retired" template is REDUNDANT. The articles on the players under "Infobox Pro Football player" usually state that the man is a "former" or "retired" player, and if the man's statistics show for example that his last year was "1978", it's a pretty good bet that he's retired!
