(Desire to contact major early contributor; was untitled, then "[[#[Untitled] ]]")[edit]

[Untitled][edit]

I wish to contact the contributor of the page Language for Specific Purposes. I feel it need major changes. The description of LSP is too narrow, not sufficently current. I would like to propose a new Lead. I think it would be good if we could do this collaboratively. I've come up with a possible new draft. I've never worked with Wikipedia so I don' know if this communication will get to the original contributor. Margaret.vannaerssen (talk) 15:38, 5 July 2010 (UTC)7/5/2010[reply]

Unfortunately, user:Reinhard Hartmann last edited Wikipedia in June 2009; you can leave a message on his talk page, but I don't know if he'll see it. DS (talk) 15:30, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Future of the accompanying article[edit]

It may languish for a long time, at the rate it's failing to draw editor attention. If someone finds a calling to inch it along, sheer avoidance of chaos & wasted editing-effort should recommend structuring disambiguation of the term, by the first editor willing to consider a contribution they'd be disappointed to see discarded by the next interested colleague. I say that bcz of my reason for not doing myself what i recommend: setting up the Dab'n structure will be wasted effort if no one has enuf interest to add something substantial about at least one of the multiple approaches or divisions that the original contributor has hinted at. I disqualify myself for that role, bcz only the dab'n task seems interesting to me, and anyone willing to separate out the existing content that they don't care about from what they do (as demonstrated by clarifying at least the type they most care about, from the rest of the current Cloud of Unknowing) might even provoke those feeling offended that their own favorite Purpose among the as-yet-barely-hinted-at areas of LSP is suffering neglect, let alone neglect that others seem to regard as benign.
