Not about Mona Lisa[edit]
Well, whaddaya know. All my life I've believed this opera was based on the woman we know as the Mona Lisa. I've never seen it staged or heard it complete, only a couple of arias. For other benighted souls, maybe we should state that the "La Gioconda" of the title has nothing to do with the woman in famous painting. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 11:12, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
