Relationship to Weatherford T. Clayton[edit]

ChristensenMJ tweaked the wording I had added about Elder Clayton's brother Weatherford's call as a general authority seventy. As always, his attention to details and making articles the best they can be is phenomenal. However, while no sources have been cited to prove this relationship, articles about Weatherford T. Clayton just happen to mention his parent's names, which just happen to be the same names as have been listed for L. Whitney Clayton. Unless I'm wrong, having the same parents does make them brothers, which is a unique happenstance in the Church. The last time brothers served together in the Seventy was when Douglas L. Calllister's brother Tad was sustained to the same quorum. They would serve together in that quorum for the next several years. So it is unique to have Weatherford T. and L. Whitney Clayton serving together in the Seventy. Weatherford T. is L. Whitney's younger brother by a few years. If/when an article is created for Weatherford T., this should also be included in that article. Hope that addresses your concerns, ChristensenMJ. Thanks for the great work!--Jgstokes (talk) 23:07, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your kind words, Jgstokes. I am presuming you are trying to be humorous, because I believe I certainly get the fact that having the same parents would make someone brothers. All my edit summary note said was the source you included, the Newsroom article, not only makes no reference whatsoever to the name of his parents, the parents of L. Whitney Clayton are also not mentioned in this WP article. So, as you noted above, no sources were cited, that is the nature of my edit summary comment. If I was attempting to dispute the addition, I would have removed it, or at a minimum added a cn tag. Thanks for all you do! ChristensenMJ (talk) 03:51, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I was trying to be humorous. I got that. I now have a source for the fact that they are brothers: a Church News article that specifically mentions this. The article can be found here. I will add that citation to the article for verification. Thanks. --Jgstokes (talk) 00:16, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
