Hello everybody. I am Dr Miri (CEO of Kowsar). Please delete these journals from the list of our journals since we are not their publisher anymore. Complete list of journals could be found here: https://kowsarpub.com/en/pages/journals.html

This is already addressed by "The following journals are or were published by Kowsar." Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 08:36, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Beall's list[edit]

Dear Headbomb

Thanks for your reply. The second point about inclusion in Bealls List and those 2 studies: Those 2 mentioned studies mentioned Kowsar as predatory journal because of including our name in Beall's List. It means that first we were included in Beals List and then they (those 2 articles) repeated the same accusation against our publishing activities. Bealls list included our name in his list without any reason. We contacted him by email several times but no reply was received from him.

I kindly request you to correct those sentences in the Wikipedia page. Drmiri (talk) 15:58, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We aren't in the business of determining the motives of authors. Suffice it to say that multiple reliable sources (either expert opinions, or peer-reviewed venues) all opine in the same direction, Beall, Manca et al., Gasparyan et al., and PubMed Central. It is also why we don't opine about whether or not these sources were right. Kowsar was included in Beall's list. That is a verifiable fact. Kowsar journals were delisted from PMC. Also a verifiable fact. Both the inclusion in Beall and PMC delisting were covered in mainstream outlets. WP:NPOV dictates that we mention these things. If a Kowsar journal was featured in the "Who's Afraid of Peer Review?" sting, and either failed, or passed, we would also mention this. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 22:26, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

About DOAJ and Some journals of Kowsar which are not indexed in DOAJ[edit]

Dear Headbomb

Another important point about Blog of DOAJ: You or one of the Wikipedia contributors mentioned that one of our journals (Archives in Military Medicine) is not indexed in DOAJ while they are declared that they are indexed. In that line the contributor linked to this site ("Some journals say they are indexed in DOAJ but they are not". DOAJ. 28 August 2014.). Please go to that weblink and search for the mentioned journal. You never found the mentioned journal in that link or even this link of DOAJ (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Y_Sza4rPDkf-NNX9kwiErGrKeNTM75md9B63A_gVpaQ/edit#gid=0). Therefore, I kindly request you to remove this sentence from Wikipedia because it is not true anymore. This is the fake or wrong sentence: [Some of its journals, like Journal of Archives in Military Medicine, are lying about being included in the Directory of Open Access Journals.[8]] Thanks for your efforts in Wikipedia writing. Weird, I distinctly remember JAMM being in that list. But since it's obviously not in now, either I was wrong, or the situation was rectified. The article has been updated with an example that is in the source. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 12:33, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No Dear Headbomb. That was not your fault. You did a great job. That was the fault of DOAJ blog writer. They mentioned JAMM wrong and incorrect on that page. We have sent an email to them and explained them about JAMM and then they removed JAMM from their list. Another time, we have found that Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine is also listed in that page wrong and incorrect. Please refer to the indexing page of the second journal (link: http://anesthpain.com/en/pages/indexing_sources.html) and check yourself that we have not mentioned DOAJ in our journal. We will send another email to DOAJ and request then to correct their list. Therefore, may I kindly request you to remove Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine form the wikipage? Hello. Thank you for your services. Why it is said that Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine is indexed in DOAJ? there is nothing in the journal website[1][2]. thank you. Sarmad Ali, India — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.114.111.151 (talk) 06:27, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
