Merge/rename suggestions[edit]

I was thinking hard and searched wide for the correct translation of the term wikt:путёвка / wikt:ru:путёвка. It is not a "ticket". Putyovka is derived from the term "putevoy list" (путевой лист), which is a route/job direction for a driver. Other soviet meanings included a direction/permission to a recreational site (resort, dom otdykha (rest house), profilaktoriy (prophylactic house), Young Pioneer camp, tourist putyovka, sports tournament putyovka, etc.) Is there an English term for this? -M.Altenmann >t 03:29, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

p.s. travel sheet (wow, redlink!) close enough, but it seems the term has a restricted and somewhat different meaning in English (kinda "checklist"), used, eg. in veterinary, as seen in google books. -M.Altenmann >t 03:46, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"P.P.S" Yet another version, hinted by the German term, Marschbefehl, would be Komsomol travel order. IMO it the best version, to the spirit. (and another redlink: travel order, which actually looks pretty darn close to de:Marschbefehl :-) -M.Altenmann >t 04:01, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Komsomol "putyovka" of Bryanka city committee of Komsomol of Ukraine to the KGB Border guard service

Ticket is an adequate term for "putyovka". As an alternative it could be a touring letter, but definitely not an order or direction. The latter one is totally confusing.
