In researching Heckendorf as part of a deletion debate, I came up with some points and sources that may be useful. Whoever has taken an interest in Heckendorf may want to integrate some of this information into the article. First, he holds the all-time Wisconsin state high school record for career receptions, yards and touchdowns -- per these sites [1][2][3]. Second, his 1,589-yards receiving in a single season ranks 8th in US national history for a high school player - per this article. Third, he was named the FCS national co-offensive player of the week by The Sports Network after for the first week of the 2008 season (see here). Fourth, he has been the subject of extensive non-trivial coverage in mainstream media outlets.
