RfC: Infobox image[edit]

Which image should be used in the infobox? The A one is of Popović as foreign minister, while B is of him as commander of the First Proletarian Division in 1943, during World War II. I am personally for image A, as it is later on in his life, and is more relevant as a foreign minister. --Bakir123 (talk) 22:58, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is a difficult choice. I think where @Peacemaker67 was getting at with "[far less] identifiable" is "[far less] recognizable", because Popović is best known by this WWII photograph (with Tito, which B is a cropped version of). Option A on another hand looks like a more fitting infobox image if we judged solely by appearance. Will wait to see what others think and then place my support on either. –Vipz (talk) 01:21, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • In my view, the subject owes his initial notability and his later mythic status in the Yugoslav government to his successful battlefield leadership during WWII, and the photograph of him in uniform captures that perfectly. Yes he was foreign minister, and that was important, but he is most known for his skills as a military leader. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 10:30, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
