Titles

The article, as it currently reads, calls Rizvi "founding chairman and chief Dalla of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan". I took a look at the supporting source,[1] and it indicates that Rizvi filed to establish "his party, TLYRA". I think we're comfortable to call him founding chairman.

The second title is the one that concerns me. I couldn't find anything in the source that mentions him as "chief Dalla" or "chief warrior". What source do we have for those titles? Or, in the absence of a reliable source and following the guidance of WP:BLP, should we remove that? —C.Fred (talk) 18:56, 18 July 2019 (UTC)

And in this area, more than 14 Million people can stand at a time. And Iqbal park was full of people. The "Badshahi Mosque" in the neighbor of Iqbal park, was also full of people with more than 150,000 people in it. Hundreds of Thousands of people prayed the prayer on the road, outside the Iqbal park, because there was no more place to enter more people in the park. An article on Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan's own website claims 17,500,000 attended the funeral, see WP:ABOUTSELF, this is clearly self-serving and an exceptional claim given Reuters cite a local official who says 200,000. I have removed the claim. FDW777 (talk)

The claimed turnout of greater than 17M people is actually larger than the metro population of Karachi. That would be pretty impressive turnout for the leader of a political party that scraped together about 1/8 that number of votes in the last major election. • Yahoo Officials did not immediately provide a crowd size but local observers estimated several hundred thousand attendees
• Deutsche Welle Tens of thousands
• Dawn Thousands of people
• The News International Tens of thousands of mourners
• The Express Tribune Thousands attended the funeral prayers

"Rizvi has refused to condemn alleged sexual abuse in Pakistani madrassas."

The source for this statement is an opinion piece titled "Why Is Raping Kids Inside Madrassas Not ‘Blasphemous’?." It's a short piece that assuse Rizvi of hypocricy for being preoccupied with blasphemy charges against an actor while not commenting on sexual abuses in madrasses; the sentence in question from that source is

“ Let’s take a stand against this practicie of accusing people of blasphemy and ask these fanatics that when they will condemn the sexual violence that kids are subjected to inside the madrassas where they go to learn the Holy book?" ”

I fail to see how this supports the assertion that Rizvi has "refused" to comment on something. I've modified the wording to better reflect what the source actually says. OhNoitsJamie ^Talk 17:09, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

Here is a Twitter video of him defending abuse. I think the new wording is fine, but I think that it's pretty clear he refused to condemn sexual abuse.
