Headsprung[edit]

What is this song? I can't find nothing for this song. Is it single, because has entered in Bulgarian National Top 40. I know that only that the guest artist is Justin Timberlake. --BGTopDon (talk) 10:55, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just a remix/cover of the LL Cool J version that she did. (Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:38, 19 February 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Songwriting credits?[edit]

Shouldn't this article mention exactly which songs she has written and for whom? --Crackthewhip775 (talk) 01:14, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

should this article really contain an image that has a strategically placed product in it (coke bottle)? it seems like an instance of marketing:product placement. The image should depict keri singing not socialising. (Lil-unique1 (talk) 21:22, 11 April 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Dates of singles[edit]

This article lists her first worldwide single as "Energy" being released in 2009, then states that her third worldwide single "Turnin' Me On" was released in 2008. The cites for both check out, but the dates don't line up. Somebody with more knowledge on the subject should correct this section.

Keri Hilson opening act[edit]

Keri Hilson is due to be the opening act for John Legend when he visits South Africa in October this year for his Evolver tour. I thought maybe you might want to research this further and include this in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brian1411 (talkcontribs) 15:59, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2009 MOBO Awards[edit]

She won Best R&B/Soul Act at the 2009 MOBO awards. Also she was born on December 5 (or 4). She mentioned this on her twitter sometime ago at http://twitter.com/MissKeribaby —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.148.64.37 (talk) 13:25, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Children[edit]

I've read many things that state that Keri Hilson is a mother to a son named Jayden? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Solotwilight (talkcontribs) 16:38, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could you point out a few places you've read this information? If a reliable source verifies this claim, it can be included in the article. — ξxplicit 18:06, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Age[edit]

Her Twitter account is verified and many other articles on Wikipedia are using twitter as a source as well! It's the only way to know when she was born! she said it herself! it's December 5! she did not say the year so that is still unknown! (MariAna Mimi 15:20, 26 October 2009 (UTC))

Personal life[edit]

I understand that some celebrities' info on their personal lives (like Kelly Clarkson) is hard to obtain, but as this is an article about her life and career, should some general info not be included, if it can be found? /\\//\|_()|\| (talk) 18:12, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ms. Keri??[edit]

Does anyone know what this album actually is I managed to get a copy from HMV thinking it was a new album but then when checking here there wasn't anything about it heres the link http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1;-1&sku=42423 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robinsimpson1992 (talkcontribs) 20:02, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Its an unofficial mixtape of leaked demo recordings (all of which did appear online at some point). Some of the tracks aren't even keri hilson but were leaked and tagged as having her vocals. It is not official nor is it affiliated to Keri Hilson, Mosley Music, Zone 4 Records or Interscope in anyway.Lil-unique1 (talk) 15:07, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2008-2009[edit]

I added that she appeared as a guest on Big Brother Africa 4: The Revolution in 2009.--Cooly123 23:56, 3 July 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooly123 (talkcontribs)

Lose Control[edit]

The song was released a month ago. Shouldn't the song have a Wikipedia article already? Arjoccolenty (talk) 12:35, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP:LEAD
  • The LEAD gives me the feeling of comprehensive. I have the feeling that you have told me just about everything. I just wonder about two things upon reading it.
    • Is she in the studio or does she have plans for an impending album (or has the 2nd album led her to pursue acting instead)?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 23:16, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • I am also wondering if the other top 10 featured singles ("Got Your Back" and "Number One") should be in the LEAD. However, I am not putting my foot down. Basically, I think at this point in her career, they may be highlights, but I don't think in the long run we will want to keep them in a well-trimmed LEAD. Add 'em or omit 'em, but give it thought and comment here.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 23:16, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • She's still making music (is currently working on a new album), but recently pursued acting. And how are "Got Your Back" and "Number One" top 10 singles? They didn't peak inside the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 (which is the main singles chart in the US). Oz talk 07:36, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • Going forward. please respond to each concern in a separate bulletpoint.
        • Since she is an R&B singer I was going by Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. I was just suggesting them. Feel free to omit.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:07, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • State sourced information regarding any forthcoming album in the article (if you haven't). I am reading sequentially. Also "she has pursued a career in acting." might be augmented by adding, "but she continues to record and perform music"--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:07, 17 June 2012 (UTC)  Done[reply]
  • As I skip ahead, I am realizing that each section is not summarized in the LEAD. Please include a brief summary of each section in the LEAD.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:07, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • What do you mean? Oz talk 12:12, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • It is pretty simple. The WP:LEAD is suppose to be a summary of the article. You don't really mention how socially conscious Hilson is in the LEAD. You should also summarize her artistry (musical style/influences).--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 12:59, 18 June 2012 (UTC)  Done[reply]
1982–2007
Early life and career beginnings
  • Do we know her parents names and/or occupations. Any heritage information on them?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:18, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • I could not find a reliable source about her parents names/occupations. Oz talk 12:12, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Inability to document the background of this notable of a person could alone cause a GA to fail.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 13:16, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • I did another search and found her parents occupations. Is that enough? Oz talk 22:10, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
          • The article is terribly void of personal stuff. She may not be the biggest star, but we should have some record of some personal stuff. Has she dated anyone notable, been engaged or married, had kids. Failing any of that type of personal stuff, we are going to need some personal stuff from her own family. I might be able to let the unidentified parents, her rank in the litter and such pass. It is hard for me to believe that there is nothing in the public domain that could help us fill in some personal stuff to give her recording career some context. Even if the public record gives us nothing, I think she is slightly too notable to let past without something more due to the high likelihood that something more will appear on the record soon.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 22:34, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
            • Theres only been rumours about who she's dating from unreliable sources (blogs, gossip sites etc.). And no she is not married/engaged and has no kids. Oz talk 23:19, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
              • There must be some straws to grab at. Has she walked the red carpets of any of these award shows with a date? You have to either find some personal relationship content or her parents names to get a GA from me. We can not say we know nothing substantive about her personal life and consider this a GA, IMO.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 23:45, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • How many siblings does she have? Where was she ordinally in the litter? Do we know the names of any of her siblings?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:18, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • She's tweeted the names of her siblings before. Do you know if official Twitter accounts of celebrities are reliable sources? Oz talk 12:12, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • It depends on the context. Some celebrities (E.g. Eva Longoria and Wilmer Valderrama) call all their friends brothers and sisters. The context has to be very clear and twitter names that are also Hilson would probably be necessary. I used twitter for Carly Foulkes' mother and sisters, but can't find one with the proper context for her father.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 12:54, 18 June 2012 (UTC)  Done[reply]
  • Do we know any songs that she sung backup on?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:18, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Just the artists. Again, I could not find any reliable sources about any songs. Oz talk 12:12, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
2008–09
In a Perfect World...
  • within the top eighty on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. is unnecessrily vague.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:18, 17 June 2012 (UTC)  Fixed[reply]
  • Were any of her collaborations cross-marketed as tracks on other people's albums.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:18, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Do you mean, should I mention the albums her collaborations (singles) were released from? Oz talk 23:19, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Suppose she did as song from one of her albums that feature artist X. If the song was also marketed on artist X's Album X, I'd like to know about it.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:56, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • I get it now. I've checked and no they weren't. Oz talk 09:43, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
2010–present
No Boys Allowed
  • "Although it sold 8,000 copies more than her debut album, In a Perfect World." You might want to explain the Christmas sales period. I suspect numerous X-mas albums were above her record on the charts.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:29, 17 June 2012 (UTC)  Done[reply]
  • "first headlining European tour in October" Does this tour have a name?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:29, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • No it does not. Oz talk 12:15, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
2012–present
Acting debut and third studio album
  • "she has already begun recording her third studio album". Is there any collaborator/producer information available on the public record yet?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:29, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • She hasn't revealed any songwriters/producers yet. Oz talk 12:15, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Musical style and influences
General content/changes needed
  • I have just placed this album on hold. I will be reviewing it within a week. Please attempt to address the concerns listed above. Respond to each concern individually with indented comments and I will strike concerns as they are resolved.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:46, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • The hold now has one remaining concern (that may be fatal). The article needs some personal content. She'll be 30 this year and has been in the public eye for five years. In order for this to pass item 3(a) of WP:WIAGA, this article needs to tell the reader something about her personal life. Whether this article passes will come down to whether any such content can be found. I would also like to know her parents names and what her ordinal (by age) rank was among her siblings, but those are not fatal. This article has 7 days to find personal content.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 12:11, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am FAILing this article based on WP:WIAGA 3(a). Either some content on her relationships must be presented or the family must be described completely. No relationships and the lack of names for her parents combine to a failure along this dimension.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 22:03, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The References section is formatted incorrectly[edit]

The References section of this article has been placed inside a chart near the end of the article, instead of appearing at the end of the article displayed as normal text. This looks like a formatting or editing mistake, and I am not an expert on the technical aspects of Wikipedia editing. Please, would someone fix this, someone who knows how to do so. She was born in '82 yet has written tracks since 1980? Wow...
