Taxonomy: For all marine species, Project Gastropods uses the taxonomy in the online database WoRMS. When starting a new article, do not use sources of taxonomic information that predate the 2017 revision for all gastropod groups ("Revised Classification, Nomenclator and Typification of Gastropod and Monoplacophoran Families" by Philippe Bouchet & Jean-Pierre Rocroi, Bernhard Hausdorf, Andrzej Kaim, Yasunori Kano, Alexander Nützel, Pavel Parkhaev, Michael Schrödl and Ellen E. Strong in Malacologia, 2017, 61(1–2): 1–526.) (can be dowloaded at Researchgate.net), substituting the previous classification of 2005 Taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). Rogers, 1908, 1951, The Shell Book, Charles Branford Co., Boston, Mass. claims that Kelletia kelletii is an introduced species from Japan, as does this website: http://www.clovegarden.com/ingred/seasnail.html. Is this true? Martino3 (talk) 03:32, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Does anyone know the source for the landings? There are only two years with sources given. I am considering removing the table. I don't think it is vital to the article and it isn't supported with citations currently. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? †Basilosauridae❯❯❯Talk 19:49, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
