Trip to Italy[edit]

That is not accuratly summarized. The book doesn't say she went to Italy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The book says that because of the Missile Crisis "she started believing that the world could end any day", and therefore "conceived an urgent desire to see as much as she could of the world". And she made "a pledge to herself that for the rest of her life she would say yes to everything that came on her way". (page 23). She decided to go to Italy after graduation, but it is not clear if this is the same year of later. Arconada 15:18, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think this is inaccurate?[edit]

Hi Galexlowell, this is the second time you empty the biography of Karen Alexander. I have taken the info for this bio out of the book of her daughter Tara Bahrampour. So it can not be more accurate than that. Why do you think it is inaccurate, and why don't you improve it instead of vandalize it. What is your interest, because I noticed Karen Alexander is the only article you are interested in. And please name your source. Arconada 07:23, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Galexlowell, why do you feel that "At the age of sixteen, during the Cuban missile crisis, she came to believe that the world could end any day, and therefore she decided to get as much out of life as she could." is inaccurate? Page 23 in the book says: "The missile crisis had a different effect on Mama. Sixteen years old and believing that the world could end any day, she conceived an urgent desire to see as much as she could of the world. (....) Mama made a pledge to herself that for the rest of her life she would say yes to everything that came on her way." Arconada 07:53, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since you don't want to explain your deletions, I must assume that your remark that the text is inaccurate, is just without any foundation. I added my source. The source is accurate, my summary is too, as far as I can see. If you want to change the text, explain. Arconada 09:06, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Hook Reference[edit]

Thank you for your comment, Jan. I do understand that different songs can have the same name. However, did you look at the Allmusic reference that I left – http://www.allmusic.com/song/a-little-bit-more-mt0026847667 ? Clearly, it is the same song (though a co-writer is also listed). I have reverted back my contribution. Shocking Blue (talk) 09:50, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

But listening to the songs definitely shows they are not the same. Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 10:11, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Seeing the work of the "Hook" Karen Alexander, this appears to be a different Karen Alexander. Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 10:15, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
