I think Kakao services / subsidiaries like KakaoStory, KakaoGroup, KakaoTaxi or KakaoPage have doubious stand-alone notability and would be best merged here. Only KakaoTalk seems to have enough independent coverage to stand alone. Thoughts? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:26, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

At least Kakaostory seem to have lot more than enough notability. Same for kakaotaxi. Simple Google with Korean terms gives numerous news coverage excluding the ad-like sponsored articles. Did not check Page and Group. — regards, Revi 11:49, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge all here. Keri (talk) 08:59, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge - I do not think the others are notable on their own. EricPfromTustin (talk) 21:33, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't merge - Revi's evidence seems to suggest that at least some of them are independently notable. Hazarasp (talk) 04:56, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

020?[edit]

And they have plans to evolve as a '020 company' in Korea. Many new business models are heading up to the 020 sections. A what company? Should this be O2O = Online to offline? And what is it exactly? Or is it related to this Chinese movie?--88.73.33.23 (talk) 18:41, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

KakaoGames?[edit]

Is KakaoGames, the ones who created Black Desert Online, the same group as Kakao as a whole? I realize the article does say they deny plans for gaming services, but the logo colors at the bottom of their site look familiar.

Grammatical errors[edit]

Quite a few grammatical errors in the article.

Examples: "Kakao keep denied their plans" should be, "Kakao kept denying their plans." "chiness-chess" should be "Chinese chess." "And they ARE also ready" is how it should be worded. Minor things like this, but I don't have time to go through and fix these myself. 172.115.56.220 (talk) 22:29, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

fixed these. There are more may get to. EricPfromTustin (talk) 21:37, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unbalanced and advertisement template added[edit]

Hello all. This article is a bit unbalanced, especially here. Parts such as:

"The new name will help bolster the corporate brand as a mobile life platform maker, which isn't fully expressed through the current name representing two merged firms. They want to clarify their identification as a mobile company with a new CEO.",

"The new CEO established a new vision for the company",

"Kakao had a great challenge about their new profit"

Please replace that section if any other better replacements could be found. Cheers - Wefk423 (talk) 15:04, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
