"amendment"?[edit]

Why is the anti-slave trade legislation being called an amendment? It was a law. It was a law that would have been unconstitutional before 1808, but it was just a federal law (and the article on it calls it that).Brianyoumans (talk) 22:36, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
