Accessibility[edit]

JTWC site now up; it can be viewed over HTTP or HTTPS. -Pakman044 23:27, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is it me or the site won't load? Irfanfaiz 01:19, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, http://www.usno.navy.mil/JTWC -- unmentioned in the article is that the Navy blocks it for many non-US users. Jidanni (talk) 02:47, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The website states

Products on this website are intended for use by U.S. government agencies. Please consult your national meteorological agency or the appropriate World Meteorological Organization Regional Specialized Meteorological Center for tropical cyclone products pertinent to your country, region and/or local area.

hence no wonder it is often inaccessible from outside the USA. Jidanni (talk) 14:55, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed from your website that you live in Taiwan - so im wondering if the internet is suppressed there like i understand it is in China. I say this as i live in the United Kingdom and the connection to the JTWC is great.Jason Rees (talk) 16:16, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment[edit]

Reduced to stub-class, but it's a high stub; there isn't much here. Needs a picture (if possible), more historical info, and some mention about how the JTWC is not the RSMC (or a TCWC) for this region. --Coredesat talk! 06:53, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The RSMC and TCWC issue has been addressed, now that those articles exist. Thegreatdr 16:56, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I downgraded to start since the JTWC has a lot of info on their website about the history etc.Jason Rees (talk) 20:39, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Website has disappeared from Google 4/5/2013[edit]

In previous google searches it has come right up but today it seems to have completely disappeared from google search? Any information on this? 101.51.228.255 (talk) 02:17, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore www.usno.navy.mil/robots.txt just hangs, even from US IP addresses. Jidanni (talk) 14:55, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

JTWC has new website. Look for the one with “collab” AAnnoonnyymous (talk) 12:24, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
