An omission[edit]

There should be some mention of the homeless camps along this stream. This became an issue Summer 2016 due to Portland's housing emergency, as news of these camps, where as many as a thousand people were living in total, made the local news. Because they attracted the criminal element & thus were a magnet for crimes of property & against people, several of the larger camps were shut down in 2016. There ought to be enough news stories to permit this information to be added per Wikipedia guidelines. -- llywrch (talk) 20:22, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Good idea. I'm unable to deal with this right now, but if no one else gets to it first, I'll see if I can add something later this month. Finetooth (talk) 03:08, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe that should go here but—as I understand it—the subject is better covered at Springwater Corridor#Present and future though that should definitely be expanded with changes in the situation since early 2016. —EncMstr (talk) 04:05, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. I was thinking about this overnight, and I wondered if there might not be a better place for info about the homeless camps than the creek article. Finetooth (talk) 03:23, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've added new material and made a few editorial adjustments to what I renamed Springwater Corridor#Homeless camps. Finetooth (talk) 04:51, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
