Question[edit]

Hi there folks. I got one question that might - if anyone around here is qualified to answer it - very well entail imply information that could be relevant for the article: My issue is the following: I vaguely recall that Ostrander at some stage in the 1980s plotted an issue of Suicide Squad that was themed around an attemped attack of islamist terrorists - a group called Jihad - on the Twins Towers in New York (I reckon they wanted to blow them up with explosives but I do not recall the details after all those years). From our point of view as after 2001 this story seems kind of prophetic or at least - in an uneasy way - ironic, pointing out a "worthwhile" goal for terrorist attacks. Does anyone happen to know which issue of Suicide Squad this was? For I have no clue where I stashed my old comicbooks from that time. Thank you all very much for your assistance! --80.142.192.243 00:36, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that was in Suicide Squad #1 - an attack on a mock-airport full of actors-playing-tourists, who were all killed. DS (talk) 04:20, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Upright Citizens Brigade[edit]

In the DVD audio commentary to episode 207 of The Upright Citizens Brigade, Matt Besser says that series announcer Del Close, having passed away, had been replaced with Ostander, (with whom Close had previously collaborated). As with anything said in a UCB audio commentary, it might be a joke or not, though it's not implausible. Asat (talk) 05:42, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
