Was he actually treasurer, or was the position vacant, and he was performing the duties? Did the Governor General swear him in as treasurer? You do realise your reference is a copy of Fourth Hawke Ministry on Wikipedia, not an external reference? The article Bob Hawke does not claim he was treasurer in the text, but does have a succession box. Bob Hawke was technically Treasurer since Paul Keating was no longer in office and John Kerin had yet to assume the post. Graham Richardson in the list of ministries which he included in his book Whatever It Takes which predates Wikipedia listed him as Treasurer during that brief period in 1991. Hawke as Treasurer not being mentioned in his article is probably because there is not much to talk about. Just as Paul Keating being Deputy Prime Minister is not mentioned in the body of his article. --The Shadow Treasurer 05:15, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
