Update from Public Filings[edit]

SEC filings for Hollywood Media and Live Nation show the purchase price(s) for Theater Direct and Broadway Across America respectively. Linkd In Profiles provide updated titles for Broadway.com executives. There is no public record of Key Brand being a going concern in the United States prior to its acquisition of Broadway Across America in 2008, although a check of records shows a shelf filing was done prior to 2008 but not activated. Nivremas has changed the "founded" date to 2004 and can perhaps explain the reasoning here. There is a record of a UK based entity called Key Brand Entertainment, also owned by John Gore operating prior to 2008 but that is an unrelated company to the US operation. The original text, "founded in 2008" should be restored. The acquisition prices are a matter of public record, properly footnoted and desirable information and should not have been deleted.--WestEndUser (talk) 17:40, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest[edit]

See my comments on the conflict of interest in Talk:John Gore (theater producer). User:Benfeing appears to identify himself as Tom McGrath (media executive) in the comments when he created that article. Tom McGrath is a co-owner of this company and has edited this page. -- Nusumareta (talk) 04:12, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A second highly suspicious user is User:WestEndUser, the creator of this page. The user log shows that contributions start in July 2011 and end in August 2011, and that he only edited this page, and the pages of the company executives Tom McGrath (media executive) and John Gore (theater producer). Worse, the original text used to create the article is pure puffery, and lists the full name of the company chairman as "Thomas B. McGrath" -- consistent with previous observations, and specifically mentions their work in London's West End. Given the user name and the fact that John Gore is from the UK and started his career in London, I strongly suspect that this user is John Gore. -- Nusumareta (talk) 18:04, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

More conflicts: there are anonymous edits from User:63.99.186.126. The following ARIN record shows that this net block belongs to Key Brand Entertainment: {{quote| MCI Communications Services, Inc. d/b/a Verizon Business UUNET63 (NET-63-64-0-0-1) 63.64.0.0 - 63.127.255.255 KEY BRAND ENTERTAINMENT UU-63-99-186-96-D5 (NET-63-99-186-96-1) 63.99.186.96 - 63.99.186.127

Broadway.com[edit]

Joeyfburda (talk) 16:18, 26 July 2016 (UTC)Article could use a section on the online showbiz publication Broadway.com.E.M.Gregory (talk) 11:17, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

References - Footnote 5 is a Broken Link. I tried to fix it and found that all References are "Hidden" and locked out. I then looked through History and could not find any existing user who controlled the Hidden References. So if anyone knows how to unlock this and fix the link, here it is - http://www.playbill.com/article/key-brand-entertainment-inc-acquires-broadwaycom-com-174491

History section[edit]

Is it just me or does this section seem just plain backwards? What I mean is the section is jumbled somewhat yet seems to be written in a reverse chronological order. I think a rewrite is in order. If I get a chance I'll give it a shot soon. oknazevad (talk) 13:34, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
