Addison wrote the music for the 1963 film Tome Jones. Does anyone know where I could find the sheet music? JohnClayOK (talk) 05:36, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, off-topic. This page is for the improvement of the John Addison article.

'Detective'[edit]

I unlinked this last of the tv theme/soundtrack score entries, an early tv show theme song, as the hotlink went to the page for the general concept of a detective, not to an article about a tv program. If you, gentle reader, know how to properly direct a link, please feel free to CORRECTLY relink. Thank you velly much. rags (talk) 00:51, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It occurs to me that it is unusual, if not irregular for these to be listed in reverse chronological order — at the very least, it is inconsistant with section 3. If I find the time, I will reverse this. If you have a computer, it will be easier for you than for me on my android phone. Thank you. rags (talk) 01:24, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Big Ship Sails[edit]

Presumably Addison did not write the title song "The Big Ship Sails On the Alley Alley O" for the 1961 film A Taste of Honey, but was just the arranger, as it is a traditional nursery rhyme. But he is named on this 1961 single by The Corona Kids. Lots of people seem to think the song is about the Manchester Ship Canal: e.g. here and here? But perhaps that's just because that's the scene where the song appears in the film? Elizabeth Matterson has also been claimed as the composer. 205.239.40.3 (talk) 10:43, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
