I've removed a good deal of the content in this article, as it read like the type of thing someone would write if they were hired by someone to write about Goldman. Fair warning: if any of the editors involved in the creation of this article were hired by Goldman or are affiliated with him in any way, please read over our WP:COI guidelines as to why this sort of thing really isn't kosher. It was so promotionally written that I actually went to delete it but managed to find just enough to where it would squeak by. I'm still not entirely certain that this would really pass notability guidelines for authors. The award that he actually won isn't the type of thing that would really contribute to notability. Most awards don't count towards notability when you get down to it. As far as nominations go, nominations can't give notability, no matter who is nominating them. The other thing is that of the sources remaining in the article, only four are even remotely usable. Of those four, three are local (with one being of dubious usability to begin with). I'll see what else I can find, but offhand I'll say that this is dangerously close to being something that could be deleted in general. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 08:51, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a quick news and book search, and my overall feeling is "world famous in Kansas". I get annoyed by people trumpeting themselves as "best selling" without any evidence or context. Could probably go either way at AfD to be honest. Ritchie333(talk)(cont) 13:24, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
