"led indirectly to changes in the law."[edit]

User:Stephen: That sounds like a fork/stretch. Where exactly is that explained in the body of the text? I see that she campaigned for change but don't see evidence that she changed the law.Zigzig20s (talk) 22:34, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"she also helped to campaign for a change in the law that prevented people accused of rape from cross-examining their alleged victims.[15]" – Muboshgu (talk) 23:24, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have no doubt that she was an activist. There appears to be a leap of faith, however, between campaigning for change and influencing specific legislations.Zigzig20s (talk) 06:53, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of image screenshot[edit]

Stephen, I tried to find free images but found none. Can you reinsert File:Jill Saward BBC interview 2013.png as a lead image for now? --George Ho (talk) 04:23, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No, that's not how it works. Keri (talk) 10:37, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Note to others: the deletion of the image is discussed at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2017 May 18. --George Ho (talk) 11:34, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I can find no record of this discussion concerning deletion of the photo mentioned, it's deleted. Why? --BeckenhamBear (talk) 13:43, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Here are the following discussions before the DRV: April and May 2017. George Ho (talk) 09:22, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Christian faith[edit]

Her faith was a major part of her life, especially in the years after the rape. This is neglected / underplayed and more emphasis of it should be made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.150.135.130 (talk) 20:07, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In the 'Subsequent developments' subsection she is quoted as specifically saying "I don't think I'd be here today if it wasn't for my Christian faith. That's what got me through", which seems to cover the issue pretty clearly. JezGrove (talk) 21:03, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

Can anyone supply a free for re-use image of Jill? --SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:56, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I have one available under a non-commercial Creative Commons licence. I'm a non-regular editor, so I'll have to remind myself how to go about uploading this, but hope to do so within the week. EutychusFr (talk) 04:58, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Great. Let me know if you need help. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 05:08, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi EutychusFr. I got your email. I think Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard provides an easy way to upload the file. I will present you with a lot of non-applicable options, but that is because it caters for anything. I'm not sure about "non-commercial", I think that means it is no good for Wikipedia. Wikipedia wants "free for re-use, even commercial re-use". If the owner wants to retain control, a good compromise is to release a lower resolution version, suitable for a web browser but not for printing. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 10:33, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Update: Uploaded mages of Jill Saward are verified by the OTRS and granted for free use. George Ho (talk) 10:45, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
