Jeopardy (TV series)Jeopardy (BBC TV series) – A bare Jeopardy points to our article on the game show Jeopardy! (note the exclamation mark), but this partially disambiguated name points to another series. I don't see WP:DIFFCAPS being useful to distinguish the two as a result, so I think the 2002-04 TV series should be moved to another title and Jeopardy (TV series) should redirect to Jeopardy!. I'm also fine with another disambiguator, such as "2002 TV series" or "UK TV series"; I use "BBC TV series" because that was where this page used to be before it was moved to the current title in 2012. Link count for Jeopardy (TV series) (40, most through the "BBC TV series" redirect), link count for Jeopardy! (over 2000). This probably should just be a technical request, but I want to make sure we're using the right disambiguator. -BRAINULATOR9 (TALK) 20:18, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support (UK TV series) or (2002 TV series) would also be OK. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:13, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"(UK TV series)" is definitely NOT okay. "(British TV series)" would be better; per this discussion. RMXY (talk) 23:51, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Festucalextalk 09:38, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move - with or without the !, I identify this as PDAB. I also think "Jeopardy (BBC Drama series)" or similar may be considered as the majority of TV Jeopardy!s are game shows whereas this one is not so this consideration may work without having to go to country, year or channel dab. • Support, although Jeopardy (2002 TV series) may be better. I'd also recommend moving List of Jeopardy episodes. 162 etc. (talk) 16:26, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ooh, I forgot about that one. That, too should be moved. -BRAINULATOR9 (TALK) 01:07, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes, the episode list should be moved to be synchronous with the new title of this article -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 02:39, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as Jeopardy indicates a primary topic for the term, and that topic is a TV show, then this disambiguated topic is not the primary usage of this set term either -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 22:57, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • Also WP:IAR and WP:ASTONISH per the comment of Gonnym, resulting in a very astonishing situation to a general reader not conversant on the picayune minutiae of what a "TV series" means on Wikipedia's own private naming rules, resulting in surprising results for a very prominent topic such as "Jeopardy!" -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 21:28, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose and will direct anyone closing this to read the naming convention guideline at WP:NCTV. There are many television series article from different countries and from the same country, we either disambiguate with Year of first rlease, Country of origin, or both. We do not however disambiguate with network. We've worked hard to eliminate that and there is no reason to re-introduce this here. Gonnym (talk) 09:54, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
