I have edited the page to achieve neutral point of view by providing subjective information supported by references. The notoriety of the subject warrants in my opinion listing him in Wikipedia. I have added information that may contribute to the notoriety of the subject about his research and awards while servicing in the US Navy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dribrook (talkcontribs) 03:05, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

May I suggest that you review WP:AUTOBIO? You appear to be trying to create an autobiography of yourself in this article, which is strongly discouraged. There are plenty of web services online which could host your autobiography, and I would be glad to help you locate one if you'd like some help. --Nat Gertler (talk) 03:42, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was requested to provide citation for the 3 meritorious service medals. I can not get information on the web about the citations. Is there another way to provide a citation except scan them and place a link to them?Dribrook (talk) 05:57, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We need a reliable source that verifies these medals, which could be a reference to a Navy or Bethesda publication, for example. It need not be available online, as long as a complete reference is provided. Copies of the medals themselves would be primary sources, which are not acceptable as references on Wikipedia. I encourage you to fully disclose you relationship with the subject of the article, in accordance with our policy on conflict of interest. This is very important. This should be on the article talk page and your own talk page as well. Cullen328 (talk) 07:16, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not the place to advertise yourself or your book. Creating an article about yourself was utterly inappropriate. Doczilla @SUPERHEROLOGIST 09:08, 20 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Dribrook, I assume, is the same as the subject of the article, so COI is implicitly disclosed. But I suggest that user Dribrook explicitly and clearly disclose here. Regardless, the COI is not a problem if the article is neutral. However, the self-published book has to be removed, IMHO. The article could be more neutral, but the subject barely meets the criterion of notability both for his research and his advocacy for throat cancer. Wxidea (talk) 01:50, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
