translation of german version[edit]

Hello,

this is the translated version of the german site [1]. I need to adapt the american prices and the online syllabus. As I see also the literature citation I need# to transform. Will do so in 10 minutes. My eyes needa little rest :-) --Erkan Yilmaz 23:46, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

so, I guess I am finished. I must say this time it took less, due to the great help of Lyzzy [[2]]. She helped me at the beginning and she also reviewed + improved the page after all my changes. Thx again Lyzzy. Bye, --Erkan Yilmaz 00:29, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Updated[edit]

I have updated some very specific details wrt ISTQB.Digitalfunda 08:24, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, first the scheme is not only for professional testers, because Foundation Level can also be taken without requirements by anyone, so I will remove the "professional". and then let me check the other ones. --Erkan Yilmaz 10:28, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi DigitalFunda, I just found out, that the things you put here, were just copy+pasted from this site: http://india.istqb.org/
it says there: "The ISTQB was officially founded as an International Testing Qualifications Board in Edinburgh in November 2002. The ISTQB is responsible for the "ISTQB Certified Tester", which is an international qualification scheme and the qualifications in the scheme are based on a syllabus. There is an examination covering the contents of the syllabus. After the examination, each successful participant receives the “ISTQB-Certified-Tester” certificate"
-> please do not do this again, you must make sure, everything you use does not harm any copyright. At least give some reference dude

text removed: "However entire syllabus is not covered in the above mentioned books."[edit]

Hello 220.227.67.171,
about your text: "However entire syllabus is not covered in the above mentioned books." (from 08:09, 13 November 2006)

I moved the discussion point here, to discuss here first. The list of books is what is referrenced by ISTQB itself.
A list of useful books is available in the english syllabus on page 40-42.
Since CTAL uses also CTFL-knowledge and is more practical you can find more info there.
Veenendaal and Spillner 2005 are referred as extended reading.
There is no doubt, that there are many books which are good.
So, which books you also would referr?
Why not discuss here?
CU soon, --Erkan Yilmaz 21:32, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

I just did a lot of cleanup, the text seemed very 'translated', so I tried to just make it more natural sounding. I don't think I actually changed the meaning of anything - if anyone disagrees let me know. Jtowler (talk) 11:26, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
