Contested deletion[edit]

OpenMinds2010 (talk) 19:32, 13 January 2012 (UTC)This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it is a description of a not-for-profit service that contributes to the development of international and American schools around the world. The service helps to establish and develop these schools in needy areas and in support of US embassies' staff. The article is descriptive of this .edu, and there is no profit to be gained. It provides information to individuals who might not be aware of this educational category of globalizing education - which includes the development of the unique form of 'international education' and the IB diploma program. If possible, perhaps help could be offered to transition the format of this article to be more wiki-appropriate.[reply]

I've removed the CSD tag because this page does not actually qualify for deletion under G11 (or any other speedy deletion criterion, AFAICT). Anyone who thinks it inappropriate for the English Wikipedia should feel free to send it to WP:AFD for a proper deletion discussion.
OpenMinds2010, if you want to 'defend' the article against an AFD challenge, then I suggest that you find and cite as many WP:Independent sources (like newspaper articles) that talk about ISS as possible. WhatamIdoing (talk) 20:09, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
