Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that International Right to Know Day be merged into Access to Information Day. To my understanding one is the natural outgrowth of the other, and therefore Access to Information Day could be described in the the History section of International Right to Know Day. With the appropriate redirect in place no loss of information will occur. nerdgoonrant (talk) 15:27, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agree: This is a correct, commonsensical suggestion - "Right to Know Day" and "Access to Information Day" and (the horribly awkward term chosen for inclusion in the official UN calendar in 2016) International Day for the Universal Access to Information" are one and the same - September 28th, commemorating the same principle.
