Why need a separate article[edit]

Since all other league and countries's additional playoffs are kept in their top division's current page, the same must be done with Indian playoffs.@SAIKAT MARINERS DEY 103.27.142.111 (talk) 08:36, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Other nations have only one league. But in AFC Cup group stage playoffs previous season I league champions will be involved. So I think there is a need for a seperate page for additional playoffs SAIKAT MARINERS DEY (talk) 09:19, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ok 103.27.142.111 (talk) 03:48, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think a separate article is warranted, rather than just a subsection under the 2023 Indian Super Cup article. Matilda Maniac (talk) 02:25, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Indian club qualifiers for 2023–24 AFC competitions2023-24 Hero AFC Club PlayoffsAs per the broadcasters telecasting the name of match. This is a shorter name too, instead of the Indian club qualifiers for 2023–24 AFC competitions.

also this. 103.27.142.111103.27.142.111 (talk) 15:03, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: 1. current title adequately describes what the competition is for. 2. Length of article title does not appear to be relevant. 3. Also, I don't think that adding sponsorship details to the competition name is good for an encyclopedic article. Parent article is called 2023 Indian Super Cup; not Hero Super Cup. Plenty of other articles exist, such as this parent article, where they refer to the event as "known as Hero Club for sponsorship reasons". Matilda Maniac (talk) 02:16, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Matilda Maniac so why can it not be "2023-24 AFC Club Playoffs" or "2023-24 Indian AFC Club Playoffs". Surely one will not be confused as AFC cup Playoffs and AFC Indian club playoffs are different 103.27.142.111 (talk) 02:48, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Matilda Maniac it same as calling "I-league 2nd Division league" as "I-league 2" as you see the page. 103.27.142.111 (talk) 02:50, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Matilda Maniac in I league 2 it doesn't describe that it's I league 2nd division league ( this was your criteria 1 and criteria 2 removed i forgot adding hero is sponsorship so corrected) 103.27.142.111 (talk) 03:02, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Matilda Maniac just a joke, length of article is notable otherwise someone would have renamed Aurangzeb page to his full name, Abu'l Muzaffar Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad Aurangzeb Alamgir. 103.27.142.111 (talk) 03:04, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - we do not use sponsored names for football competitions. The current title is not ideal, and I'm not sure we need a separate article, but that is a different discussion for a different day. GiantSnowman 18:29, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
the right title of the article should be "Indian Club Playoffs for 2023-24 AFC Club Competitions" 14.139.208.18 (talk) 18:58, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
...no it should not. GiantSnowman 20:59, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
