Untitled[edit]

  • I submit that this article be deleted. There are few if any links. The bank is a small state bank in Michigan with nothing noteworthy to contribute for information purposes. I submit it be deleted for purposes of cleaning up "dead" entries. rgowran

communities served[edit]

I changed the description of what the bank serves. The use of "suburban and rural" had been taken out of context. In the long document cited, the phrase comes in the mission description of the bank: "  Our principal markets are the rural and suburban communities across Lower Michigan." Note the word PRINCIPAL. In fact, the bank serves Grand Rapids (as implied in the document, since that is where its HQ are) and Bay City, inter alia. Bay City is definitely neither rural nor suburban.Kdammers (talk) 15:05, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Owns a subsidiary larger than itself[edit]

First, the lead states that all branches are in Michigan, but the first branch listed on their website is in Akron, OH.

More importantly, Independent Bank Corp. is listed as the parent of Rockland Trust on its Wikipedia page. That subsidiary has assets of $20B, far larger than that currently stated for Independent Bank. This relationship should be made apparent on this page.
