There were other Beat Brothers than the Beatles![edit]

Polydor says the album was recorded between June 1961 and April 1962: this can't be true. The Tony Sheridan version of Ruby Baby follows very closely Dion's version, recorded in late 1962, and that entered the Billboard in early 1963. Same for "Let's Dance": Chris Montez recorded the original version in late 1962. In April 1962 the song wasn't yet written perhaps!

Those tunes cannot have been recorded by T. Sheridan prior to Spring 1963 (besides, the instrumental backing does not sound Beatles-like at all). At that time the Beatles were awfully busy at home with promoting their first hits and preparing for an album, they had better to do than sailing to Hamburg to give Sheridan a hand.

Does someone know where to find some reliable sources to clear that point up? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beaugency (talkcontribs) 22:41, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

« Polydor says the album was recorded with The Beatles between June 1961 and April 1962 » Now it is true ! JeanPaulGRingault (talk) 03:08, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CD version[edit]

The article states «This album is available in a slightly altered CD by Polydor without the inaccurate (Circa 1960) subtitle and with both parts of "Ya Ya".  ». I cannot find source for this. The only CD version I find is with the 14 tracks published in 1984. JeanPaulGRingault (talk) 03:05, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken the liberty of removing this info. If the 12 track CD does exist, please source it. JeanPaulGRingault (talk) 13:07, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

iTunes[edit]

I'm curious what is the pertinence of this sentence ; « For a time, In the Beginning (Circa 1960) was the only Beatles album available on the iTunes Store until the full catalogue of the Beatles was made available in 2011, although it is not available for purchase any longer. » This is not really a Beatles album per se !JeanPaulGRingault (talk) 03:05, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
