Ignatius signed his name as “Ignatino L"[edit]

It seems he signed his name as “Ignatino L”. Why is it Ignatino? Is that how he was called? Not Ignacio?

His real name was Inigo Lopez.

Nietzsche[edit]

After undergoing a profound conversion experience, discussed below, he became a stellar example of the kind of great-spirited person that Friedrich Nietzsche later envisioned as an Ubermensch.

Did Nietzsche mention Loyola explicitly ? If not, this should be removed, as mere speculation.

Shouldn't we mention Ignatius of Loyola's tendency toward scrupulosity and intrusive thought (if not obsessive–compulsive disorder) in this article, if only briefly? This aspect of his personality is documented in the historical record and has been discussed by scholars. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 20:06, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Shield of Oñaz-Loyola[edit]

The sources listed for explaining these arms are schools. Schools generally have no interest in correct heraldry, and when describing the school's symbols they are generally content to copy the first bit of information they can find, regardless of the source, and leave it at that.

I hope trustworthy sources can be found instead. TooManyFingers (talk) 03:50, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
