The Beatles' template should come first[edit]

Disagree. The Rolling Stones version was released first, and as a single, and those characteristics trump the songwriters and the subsequent release by the Beatles as an album track. — John Cardinal (talk) 12:50, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Dylan song[edit]

There is a Bob Dylan song called I Wanna Be Your Lover [1], that has the refrain going

I wanna be your lover, baby, I wanna be your man.
I wanna be your lover, baby,
I don't wanna be hers, I wanna be yours.

The metre is very similar to that of the Lennon-McCartney song. Are there any sources on the relation between these songs? --83.119.189.198 (talk) 08:09, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this is obviously a rock 'n' roll song. If not, rock, because of the heavy backbeat and guitar, and Ringo's growling vocals, although this is my opinion. I will add this if I find a reliable source. Y45ed (talk) 19:09, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
