Proposed merge of International versions of I Can See Your Voice into I Can See Your Voice[edit]

Main article is ICSYV. Other show franchises have their international versions in the same article. Hiwilms (talk) 04:52, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hiwilms: Thank you for requesting to merge these two article. I oppose merging on ICSYV main and international version pages. Here's my reason:

"I'd keep these two pages separate because i did follow the page format similar to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and International versions of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?; and there will be the serving page for such future international ICSYV adaptations."

Makoy Canlas (talk) 05:25, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hiwilms: And also, additionally:

It is because to maintain pages' cleanliness and neatness. I'm already created and owned the separate article on ICSYV's international counterparts. That is my official statement.

Organized categories[edit]

@Kanghuitari: Hello, thanks for your merging the franchise article into main one, but excepted for categories. It must be organized and divided into three continental ICSYV franchise categories — Europe, Americas, Asia and Oceania. Makoy Canlas (talk) 14:53, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Kanghuitari, UnitedStatesian, and PohranicniStraze: Our categories has been updated, which both UnitedStatesian and PohranicniStraze backed up to restore the categories for "Asian and Oceanian" and "international versions" of ICSYV. Only the "North and South American" ICSYV franchise category has left with a message regarding of opposing speedy deletion.

Split (2022): Create franchise article[edit]

I propose that a franchise article, I Can See Your Voice (franchise), be created, built out of the international section, similar to how other game shows have franchise articles. Idol (franchise) , Big Brother (franchise) , etc; Some of I Can See Your Voice (disambiguation) is also inappropriately located there, the ones that are not explicitly spelled as "I Can See Your Voice" should be removed, and indicated at the franchise article. -- 65.92.246.142 (talk) 02:05, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 20 March 2022[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. I'm closing this discussion to "no consensus" since it doesn't seem like what was proposed was what any participants wanted, even the apparently neutral editor who appears as the nominator but actually isn't. Long story short, a new move request is allowed to request what is actually being requested rather than what is not. (non-admin closure) Steel1943 (talk) 00:11, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@65.92.246.142: Good day. You've been mistaken that request. So i'm gonna correct you that request was renaming and moving the page from I Can See Your Voice to I Can See Your Voice (franchise) for the main page; and then I Can See Your Voice (disambiguation) to I Can See Your Voice for the disambiguation page, instead of splitting an article. Did i get right? Saisønisse (talk) 07:11, 20 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. Steel1943 (talk) 21:28, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I am not mistaken. My request is exactly what I am talking about. This article is about the South Korean edition of the show. The franchise srticle should be created by 'splitting' off the international editions section. This article is clearly the Korean edition, with additional material about the franchise. The disambiguation page is incorrectly formatted. It has additional pages that are not spelled "I Can See Your Voice", which should be removed. Those should be moved to a new franchise article as, where they would be integrated into the list of editions (ie. appearing in the table currently on this page) -- 65.92.246.142 (talk) 13:50, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Oppose Saisønisse's proposal to rename the Korean article to "(franchise)" This is the Korean edition, not the franchise article. Instead a franchise article should be built by splitting off the franchise section into a new article -- 65.92.246.142 (talk) 13:50, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Neutral on making the disambiguation page the primary landing spot. The Korean article should move to I Can See Your Voice (South Korea) if it moves anywhere. -- 65.92.246.142 (talk) 13:52, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Pinging @65.92.246.142, HiwilmsNeutral is my decision for now. Before we continue this topic, please review the recently completed merger proposal in 1 April 2020. Saisønisse (talk) 09:51, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Relisting comment: Procedural relist: The move of the disambiguation page I Can See Your Voice (disambiguation) was not officially bundled with this move request until this relist. (Any watchers of the disambiguation page should be informed of this move request shortly.)
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Steel1943 (talk) 21:27, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
