Inconsistency[edit]

The intro section says that the title is a combination of "The Omega Man" (the title of the book) and "I Am Legend" the title of a movie based on the book. The only thing is, this movie came out before I Am Legend. Did the producer steal the name from a movie that was still in production? Jazz Man 19:00, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, duh. I got that mixed up. Still though, the article says "the title being a portmanteau of The Omega Man and Will Smith's 2007 I Am Legend, two other film adaptations of the same novel". Clearly this can't be right, right? I would guess that it's a portmanteu of the movie The Omega Man and the *book* I Am Legend. But I can't find a source that says this. The title of this movie SHOULD be "Omega Man". Can someone move the article? There was the book "I am Legend", then the movie "Last Man on Earth", then "Omega Man", and then the new movie "I am Legend". The 3 movies were based off the book. Ending[edit]

If anyone's seen this, is the ending anything like the book's ending? I think it would certainly be notable if this turned out to be the only film adaptation that didn't completely reverse the meaning of the ending. I will tell you, they all have different endings. In "I am Legend", they went back to the book ending, showed an audience a preview, and totally redid it to have nothing to do with the book. The lead character realized that the new mutants were humanity's future in "Omega Man." I am old enough to remember it.

"Confusing titles"[edit]
