Problems as I see them[edit]

I was initially just going to copyedit this when I found it, but as I looked it over, I noticed two major problems. Starting with the lesser:

  • Citations needed. I suspect much of the material outside of the Lindberg case section is derived from the newspaper website. The one secondary source, which is currently a dead link, is cited in reference to the legal brouhaha. What this article would need is a Norwegian-speaking editor to find appropriate secondary material. However, that might be irrelevant, because...
  • I suspect this subject isn't notable at all. The major claim to notability seems entirely wrapped up in the Lindberg case, which already has a writeup (and a stronger writeup) at Odd F. Lindberg. There seems no secondary coverage of Bladet Tromsø specifically, which is required by my reading of WP:ORG. If that is so, then it seems to me that the best course of action is to delete and direct editing work to the other page.

While I was considering just putting it in WP:AFD, I wanted to leave the article a better place than I found it and post my thoughts for discussion before taking any precipitous action. Anyone have a reason/plan for keeping this? dkonstantinos (talk) 03:25, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ownership[edit]

The newspaper was owned by Verdens Gang from 1986 to 1992. It is now published by Bladet Tromsø A/S, a subsidiary of Harstad Tidende, and is through this part of the Schibsted Group.

From what I can find, Bladet Tromsø (or iTromsø) is a part of the Harstad Tidende group, which merged with the Adresseavisen group in 2008 to form Polaris Media. source Even though Schibsted have had ownership in all these papers, they sold out of Polaris Media following the Media Norge deal. Source So I change the text to:
