Graph

Do you guys think that we need the graph in the commercial reception section. If not, what should replace it? Zach Vega (talk) 01:06, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

I believe that it is unneededObtund (talk) 18:21, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

screen refresh rate in Hz

I cannot find the refresh rate of the display; is it adjustable by the user?

60Hz ? 70 Hz ?

Can someone add this ?

G. Robert Shiplett 12:40, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it's 60Hz. However, I can't find any sources, so it can't be added. Zach Vega (talk) 01:17, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
It's 60Hz, Apple DTS has not changed any of their answers about 60Hz refresh rates with respect to any device model, and no one has reported any higher rate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Obtund (talkcontribs) 23:36, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

"Third" generation

Shouldn't this be called iPad (third generation) instead of iPad (3rd generation)? --WKMN? Later [ Let's talk ] 17:38, 29 September 2012 (UTC)

I suppose, however I assume the article was created under the current title as it allows readers to be linked back to this article when typing in iPad 3 in the search bar. YuMaNuMa Contrib 08:46, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
No. If you actually check, nearly all other articles relating to generations of Apple devices use numbers, so this page is clearly following this convention for a reason (you clearly didn't just read the massive naming discussion argument above, here, did you). And no, the search bar has nothing to do with it either. Jimthing (talk) 16:37, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
After looking back, I found the thread that pertains to whether 3rd or third should be used, however it's only three lines long so please forgive me if I missed it. If I'm not mistaken this is the first ios device that omits an official generation number hence the debate about what the article should be called. YuMaNuMa Contrib 16:07, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

A5x

Its not a5X its A6X . Make the necessary corrections — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.92.184.150 (talk) 10:38, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Actually, the 3rd generation iPad uses the A5X processor, and the 4th generation uses the A6X processor. Check Apple's specifications. - Josh (talk | contribs) 19:13, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Moved to the new iPad

every article about something should use its real name. Talk to me? Look what I've done? I am Applist. 05:56, 5 April 2013 UTC.

"Moved" or "Should be moved"? Not explaining yourself very well here, I'm afraid. Regardless, if you checked the talk archive, you'd have seen the mass reasoning on current naming, not least, what do we call the next "new iPad" – the "newer new iPad" or perhaps the "newest new iPad"? i.e. that doesn't work, and is not how Apple refer to the device in most documentation anyway as they use "3rd generation" as we have here. (EDIT: actually, I just checked your talk page, and you're just being naughty I see!) Jimthing (talk) 12:09, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

USB version

Any source available that identifies the USB version supported by these devices? USB OTG makes no mention, USB Hi-Speed, USB SuperSpeed? Apple seems vague on the topic. LeadSongDog come howl! 18:39, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

Move discussion in progress

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:IPad (1st generation) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 03:29, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
