Pages updates required.[edit]

Due to a disagreement with Humberside Fire & Rescue Service whilst on my work placement I am unable to edit this page anymore. Therefore I require some assistance in bringing this page up to date.

Due to HFRS publishing a new website many links are now dead and need updating. There may also be a change in staff figures at individual stations and the location of appliances as new information has also been published on the website.

Information also needs to be updated regarding the new Clough Road development, which was granted planning pemissions be Hull City Council as reported on Friday 5 April 2013. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/New-Hull-station-gets-ahead/story-18618637-detail/story.html#axzz2QwbUSek7

I also believe that information regarding Firefighters at Pocklington are being trained as first responders as part of a six month trial http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/Firefighters-medical-training/story-18677247-detail/story.html#axzz2QwbUSek7

Thank you for your help in making this a better page.

I have started update - there is a problem with Goole & Brough pages on the HFRS web site as they do not appear to have the figures given. Also Scunthorpe appears to have lost the retained element so I have removed them from the table. Keith D (talk) 23:31, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to the main CPU page for North Lincolnshire, Scunthorpe has not lost it's retained element. I suspect this is an error on Humberside's part. I don't know if I could go talk to Corporate Communications, who administer the webpage, whilst I'm on placement as my Line Manager does not like me creating work for other sections. Original research[edit]

All the station original research (WP:OR) has been removed and replaced with content from (currrently) one reliable source (WP:RS), the fire services "Your area" pages. It may be possible to find other sources, such as freedom of information requests, that give additional detail e.g., more specific vehicle information, or station call signs. However, I would argue that what is there already is too much according to WP:NOTDIR and to add more would be to stray into excessive detail / trivia. Certainly nothing should be added without a verifiable source, e.g. a change to the pages above. 10mmsocket (talk) 15:31, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@10mmsocket: Well, thanks a lot for the cleanup tag within minutes of my edit. I've just gone well out of my way today to get an updated photo of Clough Road. While I retrospectively think you may be right on calling WP:NOTDIR - I've chopped down a fair few bus company pages for being too enthusiast-oriented - and I do appreciate that the article was a bit cluttered, what would you instead suggest would be a 'notable' station for inclusion in the gallery? Maybe some of the more minor stations can hang around in Wikimedia or in articles about the towns they serve? Or should the stations gallery be gutted and replaced with some other subject? I don't want to look like I'm running the show, but if anything, I just don't want the effort to be all for nothing. --Hullian111 (talk) 21:57, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
On balance, there are way more problems on UK FRS articles than too many images. What you have done getting together all the images represents and amazing effort and I have removed the tag. I do think that the station callsigns are original research so a reference for those would be useful, but otherwise I apologise for not properly recognising the work that you have put in. 10mmsocket (talk) 06:27, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
