more needs to be said about his work with Telkes and his fear of competition and failure[edit]
His inability to fail and perfectionism caused major losses to science and humanity example of his postponing the manufacturing of the device to desalinate sea water that would have saved sailors lives in WWII or the refusal of a government funded project to build a solar community.
It appears from just a simple search of Telkes and Hottel work as a team he would allow his perfectionist nature inhibit scientific discovery and prevent others as well. 2601:188:CC80:1CD0:F982:2C28:29DA:2E14 (talk) 21:15, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
