Why is there so little information about housing? What percentage of the population lives in apartments? What percentage lives in houses? I don't see any of this information on this page. I'm Pretty sure that the one of the most important objective or end goal is a more powerful economy.
This statement alone is typically parroted in Breitbart and China hawks who are making a conspiracy type of patronising statement that is hard to prove true. According to PWC, infrastructure investment is a smart way to aid economic expansion for developing countries. Not for superficial empty show given the complexity of macroeconomics.
Regardless this page seems to be written by a china hawk or conspiracist. Hkw much of the above statement is based on impartial sources?
And why is there zero mention of former labelled ghost cities being filled like Zhengzhou which after one gov policy, became filled and one of the most populated cities in the world. Or South china mall that after being renovated is now almost full tenancy and boasts daily packed crowds in the largest mall in the world. Despite labelled by CNN as proof of China property bubble ehen it was a ghost mall only 6 years ago.
← This entire article is written with bias and half truths. Needs to be updated as of 2019 feb, as it is not a complete holistic article but instead something you would typically read from a hardcore china hawk doomsday predictor.
They prematurely said the same thing with many ghost cities in 2012 yet in 2019, many have changed to thriving cities after approx 20 years from Birth. It is nist written with speculations and leaving out contradicting facts. 120.17.12.41 (talk) 18:43, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- I agree with the core of what you're focused on -- the article is significantly out of date. Many former "ghost cities" have indeed boomed. "GDP heroism" is also on the downtrend as a focus. I've made some recent updates to this article but more are needed. Feel free to raise some specific sources or other specific paragraphs/sentences that need work, update, or deletion. It's daunting to bring articles like this, which received a lot of attention at a specific time but then relatively little, fully up to date. JArthur1984 (talk) 14:14, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
