I agree... do NOT merge these two topics. They are completely different things. House concerts are seated mini-concerts for the express purpose of listening to music, meeting the artists and learning about the songs. The article that speaks about house parties depicts an entirely different experience and purpose.

Why the "English speaking world" flag?[edit]

This seems unnecessary, in light of being the English wikipedia, and no reference to a different version in the "non English speaking world." I could not find previous discussion on the history.
