Work required[edit]

This article needs a lot of expansion. In the UK, a hospital school has an entirely different meaning and there are plenty of hospital schools around which have no links to a hospital (although in some cases they may have had them in the past) e.g. Royal Hospital School, Ipswich; Grey Coat Hospital Foundation; Christ's Hospital. Although hospital has connotations of an infirmary (that is, a medical establishment) I went to a hospital school that was created from two "hospitals" created by bequests in 17th century - need to check dates. They provided accommodation, education, and training for orphans and "poor boys". So in this context hospital is more akin to hospitality. Will be able to add more when I get to a desktop. ronfromkwon (talk) 19:29, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
